
About the Symposium
The ISCB Student Council and the Regional Student Groups (RSG) are excited to invite you to the 4th African Student Symposium (#AfSCS 2025)! This symposium, held the day before the ISCB Africa ASBCB Conference on Bioinformatics, serves as a vibrant platform for young researchers to present their work, network with peers, and engage with experts in bioinformatics and computational biology.
Abstract Submission
We invite early-career researchers to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations. Submissions should align with topics in bioinformatics and computational biology, including but not limited to:
Submission Guidelines:

Abstracts should be 300 words max and structured into four sections:

Background: Context and purpose of the study
-
Methodology
-
Results: Key findings
-
Conclusion: Summary and implications
-

Unpublished and previously published work are welcome.

Abstracts must be clear, relevant, unique, and complete.

Do not include personal details (affiliation, title, etc.) within the abstract.

One presentation per author (multiple co-authors allowed, but only the presenting author will receive a certificate).

Select between oral only, oral or poster, or poster only during submission.

No abbreviations or references allowed.
Abstract submission deadline: March 14, 2025, 23:59 anyhere on Earth.
