The ISCB Student Council

The Student Council (SC) is a vibrant international community made of early-career researchers from around the world who share a passion for bioinformatics and computational biology. The SC is organized into teams and committees, each with their own tasks and responsibilities, designed to provide students with support and resources. The SC is part of the International Society For Computational Biology (ISCB) and, as such, we work closely with the ISCB leadership to achieve our goals.

What we do

The mission of the ISCB Student Council is to promote the development of the next generation of computational biologists. We achieve our goal through provision of scientific events, networking opportunities, trainings and workshops, providing educational resources and career advice, while attempting to influence policy processes affecting science and education.

Working with the ISCB Student Council has been a truly rewarding experience for me. As part of the web team, I've had the privilege to interact with a fantastic community of individuals who share a common passion for advancing the fields of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology. Being part of the ISCBSC feels like being part of a global family, where everyone is supportive and committed to building a stronger community.
