As we bid farewell to 2023, we reflect on a year vibrant with events, transformations, and growth. The ISCB SC Executive Team has been inspired by the unprecedented energy and resilience our community has shown, a testament to our collective spirit post-COVID-19.
Our Regional Student Groups (RSGs), the heartbeat of our network, have astounded us with their dynamic events and initiatives. Special accolades to the SCS2023, ASCS2023, and LA-SCS2023 teams - your dedication has been the cornerstone of our success. Thank you for your exemplary leadership and hard work!
This past year, we've deeply felt the need to reconnect physically, which has been both rewarding and essential. Behind the scenes, we're enhancing our platforms to nurture these connections. You might have already joined the lively discussions on our new Slack workspace, a perfect complement to our Basecamp for organizational matters. We're also refining our communication channels, including newsletters and event summaries, to keep you abreast of our global community's inspiring efforts. Looking ahead to 2024, we are filled with optimism and excitement. Your involvement is the key to our community's success. We eagerly anticipate your participation in our upcoming events, be they virtual or in-person:
- SCS2024: July 12 in Montréal, Canada (preceding ISMB2024).
- ESCS2024: September 16 (preliminary date), in Turku, Finland (preceding ECCB2024)
- A-SCS2024: will be held in Tokyo, Japan (date TBA)
- LA-SCS2024: will be held in Medellin, Colombia (date TBA)
